If you love comfortable accommodation, endless entertainment, onsite facilities and easy access to a whole host of popular resorts and attractions, then a stay in one of North Devon’s holiday parks would be perfect for you.
Holiday parks are hugely popular with families, groups and couples alike because of the abundance of activities and facilities on offer, plus the huge amount of child friendly accommodation and food options. There are parks with a range of onsite eateries, so you can easily cater for everyone in your family!
We’ve put together some of the region’s top holiday parks to give you an idea of what is available in the North Devon region – so read on to find the perfect holiday for you!
For those of you who want a park near the beach, Parklife Resort’s Watermouth Lodges near Ilfracombe is on an elevated position about Watermouth Harbour and nestled in mature woodland, the resort offers stunning sea views framed by trees and greenery. Both Watermouth Harbour and Broadsands Beach are a short walk from the resort and there is easy access to the South West Coast Path and the Tarka Trail, so you can explore the wider North Devon area without having to get in the car!
The resort has several woodland trails if you like being outdoors and there is also an outdoor multi sports court, indoor and outdoor heated swimming pools and indoor and outdoor children’s play areas. The onsite Sea Terrace Bar and Restaurant has amazing views of the Bristol Channel and features a menu made up of amazing local produce.

Just minutes from Ilfracombe’s harbour, set at the highest point in the town is the Ilfracombe Holiday Park, where you have amazing views of the sea and the town. The site stretches over 13 acres and there are several accommodation options, so you can choose the one that best suits your needs. The onsite pool and the garden are available for guest’s use, so you can relax after a day out exploring the area.
Another option in the Ilfracombe area is Sandaway Beach Holiday Park, which has incredible sea views and its own private each, Mermaid’s Cove, which is perfect for rock pooling. This park is set on the edge of Combe Martin, just a stone’s throw from Ilfracombe and only 10 minutes from Lynton and Lynmouth, giving you chance to explore Exmoor and the Valley of the Rocks, as well as the Victorian cliff railway.
One of the big draws of the North Devon coast is the perfect surfing environment, which is why Sandaway Beach Holiday Park has teamed up with a local kayaking company, making it even easier for you to take to the waves!
A little further along the coast you’ll find Braddicks Holiday Centre near Westward Ho! Set alongside an award winning beach and within easy access of rolling countryside, bustling towns and of course, those incredible beaches, this is a great location for anyone who wants an adventure holiday. Not only is there the watersports and coastal pathways, but the site itself has a host of activities, including the Kid’s Club and the Entertainment Centre. The site’s Pier House Seafront Bar and Bistro is on hand should you need any refreshments and an amazing view of Bideford Bay to accompany your dinner. The accommodation on offer is spacious and fully equipped, plus there are dog friendly options too!
If you want an accommodation with so much to do onsite you don’t have to worry too much about travelling around, take a look at Woolacombe Bay Holiday Park. If you’re someone who enjoys a more rural setting and something quiet where you can relax, Tarka Holiday Park is located along the famous Tarka Trail and is just five miles from the centre of Barnstaple – North Devon’s largest town. The site doesn’t have a clubhouse or swimming pool like others in the region, instead focusing on its location and the beautiful natural setting.
