23rd May 2018
We’ve launched an exciting Facebook Group this month: North Devon Captured. It’s the new place to share all of your best photos of North Devon.
Since we’re almost halfway through 2018, we thought we’d round up the best pictures we’ve seen in the group so far. There are some snow pictures, summer-like scenes plus some stunning sunsets! Take a look at the pictures we’ve selected and be sure to tell us your favourites over on our social media channels.
Kicking off our ‘Best Photos of 2018 So Far’ is one of our favourite images – a classic shot of the beach huts on Saunton Sands Beach. The colourful family of huts always make for a beautiful snap, especially whilst the sun is setting.
A lovely picture of a location popular with locals but maybe a hidden secret to North Devon’s tourists. The luscious greens contrasted with the water is beautiful – a true hidden gem.
This snap by Marion Callaghan caught our eye straight away. We love how the image incorporates two of North Devon’s best offerings – stunning sunsets and great surf!
Can you believe this picture was snapped on Exmoor? Credit to the photographer, Ellie Pike, who braved the chilly air to take this amazing photo.
Doesn’t the North Devon coast look beautiful here? We love this aerial shot of Hele Bay, it captures a part of the area which is said to look like a certain animal… Can you see an elephant’s head?
Would you believe this is the view from Appledore across to Instow? This specific photo was snapped during the first May Bank Holiday weekend of 2018 where sea mist covered parts of North Devon. We just love this picture because it really shows how the elements can change the landscape around us.
We simply love this image – mainly because we can imagine it on a canvas!
A big thank you to Dave Pike who sent in a range of images of his lovely Collie enjoying everything North Devon has to offer! We especially loved this image of the pooch amongst beautiful bluebells.
Naturally, we thought we’d end this blog with a sunset image. We think this picture speaks for itself really – amazing!
Check back soon for another round up of more North Devon images!
