Not sure what to get up on Valentine’s Day in North Devon this year? Stuck for gift ideas? Don’t know where to take your loved one to ensure they have a date to remember?!
We’ve come up with a few ideas to get the romantic cogs whirring in your head…
First things first, take a look at our accommodation offers, with everything from hotels by the sea, cosy B&Bs and luxury glampsites promising to be the perfect place to spend a few nights with the one you love.
There are so many fantastic restaurants in and around North Devon.
Really want to impress? Why not try the Michelin-starred Masons Arms in Knowstone or Thomas Carr at the Olive Room in Ilfracombe. Fancy some delicious local pub grub? SQ in Braunton or The Grove Inn in Kings Nympton create fantastic dishes. Maybe an afternoon treat? There are loads of cafes in the area, perfect for a day-date. Take the Tea on the Green in Westward Ho!, for instance – with ever-changing cakes and options of afternoon tea.
Where to start?! A classic date idea is crazy or mini golf, and there are courses in Westward Ho! and Woolacombe perfect for such an activity. If you’re looking to be a little more unique, why not check out the Ultimate Adventure Centre in Bideford, with their classic Total Wipeout course, or perhaps a spot of trampolining at Air Extreme in Barnstaple?!
North Devon has some of the best beaches not only in the UK, but in the world – at least that’s what we think! From Instow, which runs along the lovely village full of shop, pubs and cafes, to Putsborough, a secluded stretch of sand that connects all the way to Woolacombe – there’s a beach for everyone!
Check out our beaches guide for more information.
If it’s a walk you’re after, you’re in luck! Whether you’d like to amble along the Tarka Trail, saunter through stretches of forest,, or take a walk through the many country lanes, there’s plenty to do for those who crave fresh air.
Check out our blog on country walks for more.
