Exmoor Zoo have announced that they will be reopening on 12th April. The news comes as part of the Government’s roadmap to easing lockdown restrictions continues to be on track, with step 2 allowing outdoor attractions, such as zoos, to reopen to the public.
Speaking about the reopening plans on their Facebook page, the team at Exmoor Zoo said that reopening will be in line with current guidance and that visitors will have to book an allocated space via the website in advance. Visitors can then pay for their ticket in advance or by cash or card on the day. In order to keep visitors safe, the onsite café will only be open for takeaways and that food and drink can only be enjoyed in the gardens and playground, with indoor seating remaining closed until restrictions changed further.
Under current rules, there won’t be any handling sessions, however, throughout the day, there will be socially distanced talks with the times and activities published on the zoo’s website. The onsite gift shop will also be open with social distancing in place.
On the lead up to the reopening, if you had an experience cancelled during lockdown, you are able to rebook again online.
