A total of 76 finalists were selected all of whom will be in suspense until November when they will learn whether they have won Gold, Silver, Bronze or special awards.
The winners will be announced at the Awards Ceremony in the Guildhall in Plymouth, hosted by Britain’s leading travel commentator, Simon Calder.
Here are the North Devon businesses up for Gold, Silver and Bronze awards in Visit Devon’s Devon Tourism Awards for 2017:

And these two fantastic North Devon businesses have been highly commended:

Successful businesses in the Devon Tourism Awards will also be fast tracked into the South West Tourism Excellence Awards in February 2018, with nominees in matching categories invited to represent Devon in the National VisitEngland Awards later in 2018.
Mark Warnes, Property & Portfolio Director at Headline Sponsors Hoseasons, says: “We are once again very proud to be supporting these awards and very much looking forward to playing our part in recognising the efforts and achievements of tourism businesses across the region.
“The time, energy and money they continue to invest in their offer is what keeps people coming back year after year, and what makes this area such an enduring holiday hotspot.”
Awards organizer Robin Barker of Services for Tourism added: “This year’s Devon Tourism Awards have broken all records with 205 entries and our judges carrying out 120 business visits, most of them mystery visits.
“The competition has been tough and the standard outstanding. With tourism increasingly recognised as one of the UK’s and Devon’s most important industries, it is great to see so many exemplars of excellence across the county.”
