Are you looking to treat the family to a holiday in North Devon? With some of the best beaches in the UK in the area, we’d always suggest making the most of this by choosing accommodation with a sea view! Whether you’re looking for a hotel, campsite or holiday park, we’ve outlined all the best places in North Devon for a family holiday with a sea view.
The Red Lion Hotel in Clovelly may not be your traditional family hotel, but it’s certainly one to consider. Located in the truly unique village of Clovelly, it stands alongside the ancient harbour with all rooms providing either a sea or harbour view. A stay there will certainly be one for all the family to remember!
If you’d prefer a more traditional hotel, take a look at the Commodore Hotel in Instow. The hotel is quite literally on the seafront and is in a great location for exploring all of North Devon.
Woolacombe Bay Holiday Park has sensational views overlooking miles of golden sandy beach. The park has been completely refurbished over the past few years which included a spectacular terrace which is perfect for watching the sunset. Whilst you admire the view, there are an infinite amount of activities to keep the kids amused – perfect!
Ruda Holiday Park in Croyde is also a fantastic holiday park for all the family. The park is just a few minutes walk from Croyde’s golden sands and has an excellent indoor pool that the little ones will love.
Although not a traditional holiday cottage, Seascape in Woolacombe boasts spectacular views of Woolacombe Bay. The home accommodates up to ten in five bedrooms – it’s the perfect base for your North Devon holiday.
If you’re looking for a luxurious self catering cottage, take a look at Ocean Cottages. They specialise in luxurious coastal cottages in Croyde, Woolacombe, Putsborough and more, with all their properties located beside the beach or just minutes away.
Camping is a great and cost-effective way to take the whole family away. Europa Park in Woolacombe has spectacular views of Woolacombe Beach, and is in a great location to walk down to the beach and village.
North Morte Farm, in neighbouring Mortehoe, has direct access to the coast path and its stunning scenery will make your camping holiday one to remember.
If you’re looking for a real luxurious visit to North Devon – we’d suggest the Sandy Cove Hotel and Saunton Sands Hotel. Both boast breathtaking sea views and have fantastic facilities and dining options which are all family friendly.
