What’s going on in North Devon during Easter? Look no further, we’ve put together the ultimate guide of the best Easter egg hunts, activities, events and more – all ensuring you get the most out of spending your Easter break in North Devon! Keep reading to discover our top suggestions.
Easter egg hunts are one of the best ways to celebrate Easter, so of course we have a range taking place here in North Devon. RHS Garden Rosemoor will be hosting a Lindt Gold Bunny Hunt between 24th March and 15th April for both the young and young at heart. You’ll hop around the garden, following the mysterious clues, leading to a delicious chocolate treat at the end!
If you fancy a North Devon style Easter egg hunt, we’d suggest heading to Woolacombe. The Woolacombe Tourist Information Centre will be hosting an Easter Trail in Woolacombe’s sand dunes between Friday 30th March until Monday 2nd April. You’ll follow an adventurous trail around Woolacombe Warren to find hidden doors, solve the clues and eventually claim your chocolate prize! You can take part by picking up a trail map from the Information Centre on the Esplanade.
Alongside Easter egg hunts, North Devon also has a whole host of events this Easter. Arlington Court will be celebrating the start of spring by hosting a Spring Nature Trail between Friday 30th March and Sunday 15th April. The trail is perfect for those who love to admire nature and learn more about North Devon’s wildlife.
Dartington Crystal will be hosting a Family Fun Day on Easter Bank Holiday Monday. There’ll be face painting, an Easter bonnet workshop, an Easter trail, plus more! It’s certainly the event to attend if you want to entertain the whole family.
When it comes to where to eat – we simply couldn’t narrow it down! Choose from North Devon’s large selection of pubs, restaurants, quaint tea rooms and even Michelin-starred restaurants.
Excitingly we have a brand new food app launching on the 26th March, which will feature North Devon’s top eateries displayed on interactive maps, making it easy for you to find the best places to eat in the area. Keep your eyes on our social media pages for further updates!
One thing we do know is that Easter gives us warmer weather and the opportunity to enjoy eating outside. With that said, Easter is the perfect time to start indulging in cream teas regularly again! Not sure where to find the very best ones in the area?
Although it’ll officially be spring – it’s always good to have a back up plan for when inevitably the heavens open. Luckily, North Devon has a whole host of activities for rainy days! Choose from attractions like The Milky Way and The Big Sheep or maybe something a little different like Air Extreme or The Ultimate Adventure Centre – the choice is yours!
Although Easter may be a little early this year, who’s up for a spot of camping on their visit? For families we’d recommend Europa Park, Twitchen House Holiday Park and Ruda Holiday Park – they all have a whole host of attractions to please every family member. If you’re looking for a quieter, more tranquil camping experience, look into Stowford Farm Meadows, Hidden Valley Camping & Caravan Site or Warcombe Farm.
There’s so much taking place in North Devon during Easter that we simply couldn’t squeeze it into one blog! Keep up-to-date with the latest events by checking out our events guide.
If you’re heading to North Devon during Easter we’d love to hear everything you have planned. From where you’re staying, where you’ll be eating and what you’ll be doing – tell us all over on our social media channels.
