Now that school is well and truly out for the winter (see what we did there?), you’re probably wondering where in North Devon is open for you to take the kids – and stay warm at the same time!
Luckily, there are plenty of fantastic North Devon attractions and activity centres open over the Christmas period – with plenty of kid-friendly events, to boot!
Here’s a rough guide on which attractions are open – just follow the links for more information:
The attraction between Bideford and Clovelly is open between 10am and 5pm during the Christmas holidays, and at weekends during the winter. Father Christmas can also be found there up to and including the 23rd December, while the fantastic shows, play areas and rides will also be open to enjoy.
Much like The Milky Way, The Big Sheep is open during the holidays 10am to 5pm, with a hot and toasty welcome waiting for you in their indoor play area Ewetopia – North Devon’s largest indoor playground. Woolly’s Winter Wonderland is also open until 24th December, while there’s also a final chance to get your shopping done at the fantastic Farmers’ Market on the 23rd.
Barnstaple trampoline park Air Extreme has some fun in store during the holidays in the form of a Twilight Disco – a chance to jump to the latest tunes. Every Friday and Saturday night, and also from the 15th to the 23rd December, the lights will be turned down and the speakers turned up.
Atlantic Village’s theme park is open during the holidays, allowing parents the chance to get some shopping done and have fun at the same time! A soft play area, a Pirate Ship, crazy golf, jumping pillows and so much more await you at the Bideford attraction.
A huge four level play frame with slides, crawl tubes, ball cannons, rope bridges and so much more await you at this fantastic play area, on the outskirts of Barnstaple. There’s also a great cafe for mum and/or dad to enjoy a cuppa, or they can also have a play on the frame, designed for big kids to enjoy too!
Barnstaple’s premier cinema will be open throughout the holidays, showing fantastic family flicks such as Ferdinand, Paddington 2 and The Lego Ninjago Movie. There’s even a chance to enjoy Christmas classic Elf on the 23rd and 30th December! Every Saturday, there’s also a Kids Crew – reduced price performances of some of the latest kids films.
Santa will be visiting Let’s Go on 22nd, 23rd and 24th December between midday and 3pm! The entertainment complex also has great facilities for all the family to enjoy; including 10-pin bowling, a skating rink, karaoke and party pods, and the Munchkins soft play area.
