Autumn is here! It’s time to say goodbye to the sunshine and hello to the cosy Autumn month of September. Once again we’re looking ahead to another very busy month here in North Devon. Keep reading for our guide on all the exciting events and activities taking place this September
Kick off the month the right way with a cream tea or two. Throughout the whole of September ‘Friends of the North Devon Hospice' group will be serving cream teas around scenic restaurants and cafes in Woolacombe, Mortehoe and Lea.
Come and help raise money for the North Devon Hospice, whilst enjoying a tasty treat. All that we have left to say is, cream or jam first?
Join psychic medium Nikki Kitt on the 5th of September at High Bickington Community Centre, for an evening of mediumship.Nikki aims to provide evidence of life after death, by gaining links from loved ones in spirit, for her audience members.
She has proven amazing accuracy in descriptions, personalities and all sorts of personal information. Celebrate the end of the working week by kicking back and relaxing at the Red Barn, with some live music from Maybe Naked. They will be performing there on the 11th of September, from 21:00-23:00.
Whatever genre of music takes you fancy they have it covered, they perform everything from modern hits to classic rock. They also throw in a few cheeky surprise covers, to keep their audiences entertained.
It’s completely free to come in and listen, so join Maybe Naked at the Red Barn for an evening of loud and ballsy music!
The Vintage and Handmade event will be coming to Barnstaple’s Pannier market on the 22nd of September between 10:00am-4:00pm.
The Pannier Market will be transformed into a colourful and theatrical spectacular, with a 50s circus themed backdrop. Behind the curtained entrance a ring master will be awaiting,as you walk in you will be greeted with usherettes with trays, vintage games, a vintage lemonade stand and a live swing band.
After you’ve embraced the magic of the circus, enjoy the selection of exhibitors; an eclectic mix of vintage & retro traders, work that has been beautifully upcycled or recycled and stunning work from artisans across the South West including jewellery, prints, ceramics, candles, woodwork and textiles.
If you would like to do a creative workshop, they can be pre-booked. Anything from paper flower making to a hand-stitched embroidered brooch workshop.
Tickets can be bought on the door for £2, which includes a token for a FREE tea or coffee, which you can use in the lounge.
Get this date straight in your diary, you definitely don't want to miss this!
