SWCP Path to Recovery Webinar 28th April
22nd April 2021
With opening for self-catering, outdoor hospitality, attractions and some campsites now here; full opening for B&Bs, hotels and indoor hospitality/attractions on May 17th; and possible delays to permissions for foreign travel, it looks likely to be one of the busiest staycation seasons ever for the South West - we hope you're ready!
As far as our SWCPA members are concerned, they're desperate to get back out there. But there's a whole new market of Path lovers too. The appetite for getting active in nature, getting fit and caring for the environment has never been greater - you only have to look at the flurry of TV programmes from celebrities like Rick Stein, Julia Bradbury and Kate Humble to see we're a nation obsessed with walking, wildlife and the coast!
The South West Coast Path is holding a bitesize 'Path to Recovery' webinar on 28th April from 10 - 11.15 am to give accommodation, experience and food and drink businesses along the Path a brief insight into the opportunities for capitalising on these new markets as Way Makers - whilst also helping us to protect and care for the Path to make sure it continues to be there for your customers to enjoy.
The panel includes Nell Barrington (Barrington Associates), Tourism Marketing Specialist and Director of Tourism Services (organisers of the South West Tourism Awards), together with one of our Walking Holiday Company experts. They'll be joined by our Way Maker team to answer questions and update businesses on how they can make the most of their connection to the Path for the coming season.
Please share information and registration details with your members/partners and local businesses in your area connected to the South West Coast Path.
