Visit Devon’s Director, Sally Everton, has been busy driving promotion and encouraging visitors to come to Devon. October is always a busy month with the sart of the International shows and the launch of the South West Peninsula project.
In October, Sally has been working on the following:
DOMESTIC

Milkana Taleva - google partnership and whether beneficial for us

Attend dinner with SWTA to meet David Ralph, recently appointed CEO of the HofSW LEP. Challenges facing us as a DMO
-
Discussion withpossible working with Coach Buddy Tony Henthorn to drive more groups business to Devon.

Development of golf - for Devon and Cornwall.

Preparation for IBTM - business tourism. Profile,uploading images, etc source and request up to 45 appointments with UK buyers in the main

Attend dinner at Powderham Castle in association with the Tourism team at Barclays and associated Devon businesses.

Meeting with Stephen Darke (DCMS) as arranged by Alistair Handyside (SWTA). Our challenges as a non funded DMO, the DEF projects and the rest of the region.

Follow up discussions with both Kerrin MacPhie and Jamie Ades - working together. Will include Devon in overall VB business events presentations

VIBE 2018 - London. Simon Fishwick attended for VisitDevon; 14 appointments with the global VB team, as well as the VB annual review launch; the Travel for…toolkit and State of the Nation seminars. Most of you will received this via the VB newsletters, but if you would like the full presentations, please let me know.
