Get involved with English Tourism Week
4th October 2018
English Tourism Week is an annual celebration of English tourism and hosts a series of events showcasing visitor experiences when staying in England. It gives tourism businesses the chance to highlight the value of tourism to the UK.
Next year’s event will take place between 30th March to 7th April. The aims are to raise the profile of the tourism industry and celebrate the value and quality of tourism in England. It provides your business with a vehicle to kick start the season and promote your local tourism products, whether you’re an accommodation provider, attraction, information centre or something else entirely, you are welcome to participate.
There are loads of benefits to getting involved with English Tourism Week. It can help raise the profile and understanding of tourism with decision makers, the media and those that work in the industry. In addition, it will increase awareness amongst consumers including local residents to discover the delights on their doorstep and visitors from further afield who can experience the value and variety on offer in England. Joining in with the week will also provide you with free marketing and communication tools.
Getting involved is simple, you can organise your own events under the English Tourism Week banner or join in with other events going on in your region. Events can be anything from special offers to hosting activities on your premesis or offering promotions for visitors, residents or anyone else you can think of!
To help you, there is a toolkit of images, including logos and posters, available for download to help with branding and a register where you can include your events to be advertised through the Visit England platforms.
You can also use #EnglishTourismWeek19 on your own social media to encourage others to get involved.
