A busy start to 2018 – kicking off with Vakantiebeurs, followed by 3 press trips, as well as continued development of the business tourism sector working with VisitBritain and our other partners.
Activity
- Prepare 8 page brochure in collaboration with VisitCornwall for Vakantiebeurs – translation into Dutch
- Finalising and collating collateral from our partners for shipment to Utrecht etc.
- 6 days at Vakantiebeurs – 2 days of press and trade, 4 days consumer. We handed out over 3,500 brochures for Devon and Cornwall, 1500 SW Coastal Path maps, 500 VisitDevon postcards, 200 Unique Devon Tours brochures, and 500 East Devon for Excellence brochures. One of the busiest trade shows of the year. Working with VisitCornwall was excellent and really worked well.
- Follow up press and bloggers for Devon from the Netherlands
- Development of the Business Tourism sector – working with new Head of Events at VisitBritain. Opportunities for Buyer Showcase events – details following
- Destination partnership program opportunities with Google – ongoing
- Prepare Japanese educational for 16 key buyers and press to Devon for March
- Meeting with Department of Industry and Trade – international trade funding opportunities, share with relevant partners
- Meeting with VisitSouthDevon Board
- Attend VisitNorthDevon AGM and Conference – present VisitDevon’s first year activity and our strategy moving forward
- Meeting with Two Moors Festival organisers – partnership opportunities
- Warner Bros educational – feature on Devon
- Confirm ITB attendance with VisitBritain
