Riverford, Crowdcube and Lightfoot have teamed up with Devon County Council to reveal why they #ChooseDevon and Lightfoot have teamed up with Devon County Council’s inward investment team, Devon Delivers, to reveal why they choose to live and work in Devon.
Bold adverts on display at Exeter Airport throughout the summer will target business people here for work and holidays over the summer. Backed by a social media campaign, the three featured brands showcase the lifestyle and opportunities Devon offers for living and growing a great business in the South West.
The campaign stars Guy Singh-Watson, founder of Riverford, the national organic veg box company which started as a vegetable delivery service to 30 friends in Devon, and now delivers around 47,000 boxes per week to homes across the UK.
Mark Roberts, CEO of Lightfoot, the world’s first technology to reward better drivers, also features. Based in award-winning offices near Chudleigh, Lightfoot is working globally to help businesses and drivers save fuel and reduce emissions.
And Luke Lang, co-founder of Crowdcube, completes the trio of business leaders. Crowdcube is the world’s first and leading investment crowdfunding platform, which has backed more than 800 successful campaigns, raising over £689million in pitch investment since 2011.
Businesses across Devon are being invited to get involved and explain why they love being in Devon via Twitter using the hashtag #ChooseDevon.
Councillor Rufus Gilbert, Cabinet Member for Economy and Skills, commented: “The #ChooseDevon campaign is a fantastic opportunity to showcase what a great place our county is to live, work and grow successful businesses. What better way to do that than focus on three great brands - Crowdcube, Lightfoot and Riverford. Exeter Airport has many thousands of visitors, including business leaders, so is an important part of the campaign.
