US sales mission & VEMEX 2019. Partnership / Representation Opportunities. October 2019

As you know the US is a key market for us, and last year's inbound visitor numbers show this.
A brief update on recent activity. As many of you know, we were successful with a Discover England Funded project working alongside VisitCornwall which was named 'Cornwall and Devon' We specifically targeted the North American market and had 4 months to deliver the project. We worked the market hard within that time, and still continue to do so, despite our funding ceasing on 31st March 2019. The website link is below, showcasing the two counties, and we have a selection of 5 themed and bookable itineraries, covering Luxury; Active Outdoors; Must-See Icons; Film TV & Literature; and Heritage & Genealogy. Agents and tour operators can book these via a DMC or direct. And there is also a 'pick and mix' option so clients can build their own itineraries to suit individual taste and budgets. Weblink below.

Our next week-long sales mission is from the 27th - 31st October, working the travel agents and tour operators on the East coast, and this will be combined with Visit Devon's attendance at VEMEX 2019 (Visit Europe Media Exchange) which is the most cost-effective means to meeting key journalists and bloggers who are working on the front lines within the US media. We are also in the process of for us to host an event at the British Consulate to key agents and journalists, with assistance from the VisitBritain team in NYC as well as with Simon Bradley, who we worked with during our DEF project. He carried out detailed research as to what the US traveller was looking for and what will drive them to visit Devon and Cornwall. Those of you who were unable to attend our DEF project meetings - I can send on his presentation with the results of that research should you wish to see it.
If you have an interest in growing the U.S. market for your business, this is the chance for you to deliver your story across the North American media spectrum working with us to raise the awareness of your business, gaining contacts in this lucrative market at a fraction of the cost. Costs for a partnership or representation start from as little as £600 + VAT. Details as follows:
- Full partners will get 6 dedicated slides within the presentation, the brochures on the stand and a full database of contacts (GDPR compliant) with a market report. There could also be the opportunity to attend the event, share some of the appointments and of course, organise their own meetings with hosted buyers. This will come at a cost of only £1000 plus VAT.
- For collateral partners, included will be 2 slides within the presentation, collateral on the stand, and the database (GDPR compliant). This will come at a cost of just £600 + VAT.
