Update from Sally Everton - Director

Visit Devon’s Director, Sally Everton, has been busy driving promotion internationally and encouraging visitors to come to Devon.
In June Sally has been working on the following:
DOMESTIC
- Various meetings throughout the month with various members and potential new members about the VisitDevon benefits and being involved
- Meet David Barker, Nick White's replacement at VisitNorthDevon
- Golf Tourism in Devon - continute this relationship to bring Devon (and Cornwall) golf courses together to grow the sector with gofling societies and groups. Golf sector a multi million pound industry
- Partner recruitment for The Meeting Show - working in partnership with English Riviera to stand share.
- Attend Industrial Strategy workshop run by the LEP in Taunton
- Development of 5 Devon promotional films covering 5 themes - working with Soundview Media (ongoing)
- Meetings with various ATP's as requested.
- MIA Meeting in London - working together building a unified strategy for business events alongside the pending tourism sector deal
- Exhibit at The Meeting Show Olympia in London. Good one-to-one appointments and interest for Devon venues. Especially for small association (Torquay) and incentive
- Attend RAW PR event for Devon Food and Drink event to highlight our food tourism offering
- Various press and blogger requests for images and itineraries for visitor experiemces etc
INTERNATIONAL

Attended the Global Meeting Summit in US - hosted by VisitBritain. One to one appointments over 3 days for incentive, small association and corporate

Follow up and distribute database for partners to continue to work

Press enquiries and host NY Post jounalist to Devon

Conference call with NY VB office re business events developing and growing regions outside London - US target market.

VisitBritain board meeting for business events ( now have a seat on that board)

Numerous itineraries requested by German tour operator for 10 + tours running in 2020 for 5 days each

Itinerary for 20 active OAP's from NZ - in Devon for 10 days in association with Probus
DISCOVER ENGLAND FUND

Completion for this round of the project on June 30th, so working closely with our project co-ordinator and our research and insight consultant based in the US

SQW evaluation process for our DEF project -evaluation forms submitted.

Various conferfence calls with Simon Bradley continuing the activity stateside

Continue to work with the tour operators /agents and DMC's to get our product onto their selling platforms for late 2019 and 2020
