Inspiring Chinese visitors to coming to the UK

Visit Britain and Visit England are taking part in a number of global partnership campaigns to spread the message of Britain to the wider world. The campaigns promote the best of Britain and bring in additional visitors, encouraging them to holiday in this country. The latest campaign is now live in China and working with British Airways, they hope to inspire visitors to book trips to the UK. The campaign delivers targeted marketing to audiences to maximise conversion and has so far resulted in around a million clicks to BA’s website.
In addition, the partnership with Ctrip, China’s largest online travel agency has entered its second year and there is a combined campaign running until March this year. The campaign includes a branded wrap around a metro train in Shanghai which is expected to reach 16 million people.
Visit Britain and Visit England’s CEO, Sally Balcombe, along with the President of Honor, the smart phone manufacturer, launched the new Honor 10 smartphone at an event in London. The event also helped promote visits to Britain and Visit Britain have been working with partners to identify influencers to help amplify the reach of the launch. Three were chosen to explore unexpected Britain through itineraries created by Visit Britain and they will be taking any images using the Honor 10 and showing off the UK’s landscapes on their social media channels, so keep an eye out for those!
