Introduction to Oil Painting with David Barber
This 3-day course will teach you all that you need to know to make your own oil paintings. You will receive a thorough introduction to the equipment and materials needed, such as painting surfaces, paints, brushes and mediums. Over the three days you will progress from techniques showing you how to create drawings with accurate proportions and values, to the creation of finished paintings. Through demonstrations and practise you will learn how to mix accurate colours and how to create harmonious and interesting compositions. There will be plenty of opportunity for you to practise and explore this exciting medium all with the support of the tutor.
