Surrounded by the spectacular wooded hills of Exmoor National Park, Lynmouth offers some of the best cliff top drives and walks around, leaving the pebbled beach more often occupied by walkers than by sun bathers.
If caught correctly, Lynmouth can produce some excellent surf conditions, at low tide, this is often the best biggest and fastest wave in Lynmouth.
This shingle beach is situated along a straight section of coastline and is backed by spectacular wooded hills and served by a unique Cliff Railway from Lynton. It is predominantly used by tourists and fishermen and has a standard of mandatory water quality. Its facilities include toilets and a slipway, as well as a car park containing disabled spaces. Positioned on the South West Coast Path, it is popular with dog walkers, especially due to the fact that dogs are allowed throughout the year.
