About
Sea Ilfracombe Maritime Festival is an annual celebration of Ilfracombe's unique character and coastal life!The main festival hub is based in the Ropery Road car park, spreading down to the harbour and beyond to many of the pubs, eateries, galleries and venues all around the seafront.
Centre stage is the music – a packed programme of local and national bands from traditional Shanty songs to SKA and rock 'n roll surrounded by a sizzling seaside kitchen with stalls offering seafood and local produce; sweet & savoury and a seafood preparation and cooking master class.
There's plenty of family fun with street entertainers and a hive of harbour activities including fishing from the pier with Combe Martin Sea Angling Club, a chance to meet Jack Sparrow and the Commodore, see a traditional Punch and Judy and watch the Devon Smugglers (Pirates) show what a pirate's life was like. There's also the chance to see and talk to the Marines and the 4-man boat which has just been rowed across the Atlantic.
