
Torrington Arts, Music & Heritage Festival

Come and join us for our annual arts, music and heritage festival.
At 7pm (for 7.30pm start) on Friday 13th September internationally renowned classical pianist Trefor Smith will be performing at St. Michaels and All Angels Parish Church (EX38 8BN). There is no charge but there will be a retiring collection.
Events on Saturday 14th September start at 12 noon in the Town Square (EX38 3HN) with a variety of acts and activities for everyone throughout the day. Musical acts include the Shanty Singers, Gilberries, Genevieve Andrews and Yazzy along with some very local performers.
There will be morris dancers, face painting, circus skills and stilt walking. We will be welcoming local potter Harry Juniper who will be giving a talk and local archaeologist Emily Wapshott will be leading a heritage walk around the town.
We are excited to announce the stunning fiddle players Nick Wyke and Becki Driscoll who will be performing at St. Michaels and All Angels Parish Church (EX38 8BN) on Saturday evening as well as participating in a workshop during the day.
Headlining at this year’s festival are TANKUS the HENGE, SHRUG and STELLAR FOX who will performing at The Plough Arts Centre (EX38 8HQ) at 8pm (for 8.30pm start) on Saturday. Tickets £7 from The Plough (https://www.theploughartscentre.org.uk).
