Saunton D-Day
About
Marking the site where 10,000 American GIs trained for D-Day, the beach and dunes of Saunton will host the largest living history event the southwest has ever seen. Allied and German camp installations will give insights into soldiers' lives, accompanied by the rumble of period plane landings and convoys of military vehicles. The centre piece of the weekend will be battle displays recreating the Normandy advance, involving over 100 WW2 re-enactors from around the country. Lots to see and do, food and bars, ample parking and beachside activities, Saunton D-Day is a free public event.Guide Prices
