Northam Poetry Walks
About
Discover your inner poet with Poetry Pin!Northam Library is excited to be hosting events again and would like to invite you to a guided poetry
event in Northam on Friday 30 July 2021.
The walks will be led by poet technologist Christopher Jelley, and renowned local historian Peter
Christie will be on hand to enlighten and inspire you. You will have the opportunity to hear stories of
local history and heritage from Peter and Chris will introduce you to the virtual world of Poetry Pin.
Northam Poetry Pin https://northam.poetrypin.info/ is an innovative project where you can read and
post poems directly into the virtual environment from your mobile phone.
Northam Library Supervisor Jennie Smithson says "We are really looking forward to hosting events
again and we look forward to seeing you at this, our first event since before the pandemic. Peter
has always been a great favourite at Northam and has facilitated many successful walks and talks
for us which often sell out, so early booking is advised. We are really excited to be working with
Chris Jelley too and introducing Poetry Pin to our library community."
The walks will start at Northam Library and everyone is welcome, you don't need to have any
experience in writing poetry or have a mobile phone to take part.
Choice of walks at 1pm and 3pm
