"Folk with Soul & Blues" is an open-air concert in support of the Plough Arts Centre charity taking place at The Big Sheep, Abbotsham on Sunday 4th July. The line-up consists of the 10-piece big-sound soul band Soul Intention, the Medicament's soul & party band and a Johnny & June tribute act.
The Johnny & June Tribute Experience will start proceedings with a tribute with a twist to the Man in Black and his partner in crime, June Carter, with multi-instrumentalist Ian Holleran and Roseanna Ball in this foot-stomping performance of their greatest works. They will be followed by the 11-piece Medicaments who will be playing songs by Stevie Wonder, Madness, Queen, and more! Finishing off the night will be Soul Intention, the best 10-piece big sound soul & Motown band in North Devon whose 2 vocalists will be channeling their inner James Brown, Wilson Pickett, Aretha Franklin, Tina Turner and many more to get you up and dancing!
Light refreshments and alcoholic drinks are available at The Big Sheep but feel free to bring a picnic if you wish. You can also bring along low back seating and blankets to sit on. There will be a "hands free" cash raffle on the night in support of the Plough. The concert will run for an estimated 240 minutes. Ticket prices are £12, Plough supporters are £10 and concessions/key workers at £6.
