February Half-Term in the Heddon Valley
About
We've got lots going on this February half term in the Heddon Valley, from bird I-Spy to willow crafting - all celebrating our feathered friends who call the valley home.1) Bird feeder crafting from Wed 20 to Fri 22 Feb, 10am-3pm in the Hunter's Inn back garden. 'Help a wild animal' is one of the 50 Things To Do Before You're 11 and 3/4, so do join in to create your own willow craft animal or bird feeder.
2) Feeling chirpy? Follow our easy-going I-Spy 'Birds of the Heddon Valley' activity with family and friends. Pick up a bird survey sheet from the Hunter's Inn or Heddon Valley National Trust shop all week. Suggested donation £1.
3) 14-21 Feb is National Nest Box Week. Discover the range of bird box ideas from the British Trust of Ornithology and locally made boxes from our bird box displays outside the Hunter's Inn. Instructions available to have a go at home.
