A ‘pawsome’ day out for you, your family and your pooch is in store at a special event being held in North Devon this September.

The Doggy Summer Fete will take place at Affinity Devon - previously known as Atlantic Village - near Bideford on Sunday, September 1. A packed programme has been put together by the top Doggy Day Out team in conjunction with local dog rescue charity K9 Focus, promising entertainment for everybody, particularly our four- legged friends. There’s a chance to star in the charity fun dog show, test your dog’s obedience in the Temptation Alley, and his - or her - nose in the Scent Game. There are Have-a-go Hoopers, a Pets Got Talent show, Pet Photo Booth and a huge arrange of exhibitors to tempt you into buying a great array of doggy products.

And if all this wasn’t enough, there will be fun and games with the Canine Olympics being staged in a special arena. The whole event, which is being supported by Forthglade, is being held in the amphitheatre, so there’s no need to worry if the weather is less than clement. Entry is free although there is a small charge for the activities and dog show, with proceeds from the day supporting the re-homing work done by the K9 Focus charity.
