Devon Songs & Stories
About
Acclaimed folk singer, raconteur and amateur historian Mike Bosworth brings his fine voice and shares his research and enthusiasm for the extraordinary 19th Century Devon Parson Rev Baring-Gould and his musical legacy. The Reverend collected 100s of Folk Songs from all over Devon in the 1800s from local 'Song Men', some of whom were reputed to be descendants from 16th Century minstrels. This will be an historic and musical account, including a selection of these rare local songs, brought alive for us with by Mike's deep and mellow tones, with perhaps a little violin and mandolin too.
