Have you been wondering just what is buzzing around your garden flowers?
Come and join bee champion and award-winning garden writer Jean Vernon for a "Bee Safari" in the Nectar Gardens of Quince Honey Farm, where you will learn more about the fascinating lives of solitary bees and bumblebees! Jean will share stories about some of our quirky bee friends and introduce you to some real power plants for pollinators, inspiring you to transform your own plot into a pollinator paradise! Our Bee Safari will explore the fascinating world and diversity of our garden bees, reveal the secrets to supporting pollinators and introduce the what, how and why of creating your own pollinator paradise.
Jean Vernon is the author of the Best-Selling bee book "The Secret Lives of Garden Bees" and her new book "Attracting Garden Pollinators" was published in 2022. Jean also writes about wildlife for the RHS Journal "The Garden", is a contributor to the gardening section of The Daily Telegraph, and has been awarded the Beth Chatto Environmental Award for her feature on bees in the Daily Telegraph. She has been fascinated by bees and the environment since a youngster and is passionate about championing bees and pollinators and wildlife of all sorts. She has made it her mission to unravel, demystify and explain the intricate balance of nature in your garden and to introduce you to the familiar and unfamiliar bees and pollinators that live, breed and breathe within the garden habitat. Suitable for ages 12+
The Bee Safari will take place in the Nectar Gardens and grounds of Quince Honey Farm and will go ahead in all weathers, but we may have to cancel if the weather is extremely unfavourable.
The Bee Safari will be held outside so please bring weather-appropriate clothing e.g. warm clothing / layers, waterproofs, hat, sun cream.
Includes a 10% discount voucher to spend in the shop on the day.
Includes a 50% discount voucher for Full Attraction entry to Quince Honey Farm at a future date (term-time only, valid until Fri 21st July 2023).
