Artist Residency: Michelle Shields
About
Michelle Shields is fascinated by combining traditional ways of making with modern technology. Central to this exhibition is a contemporary re-imagining of The Burton's RJ Lloyd ceramic collection. Through a process of G-coding the collection, Michelle used 3D scanning and printing techniques to re-create a selection of Harvest Jugs and North Devon Slipware dating from the 1600s.Also featured will be Harvest Jugs created by members of the public during a series of workshops held at The Burton in October.
