Apple & Honey Harvest
About
Quince Honey Farm's first ever Apple and Honey Harvest will embrace the old traditions of the autumn season and share the customs and old ways of the apple harvest. Come and see our Apple Show, a live demonstration of an apple mill and apple press using the fruit from the orchard at Quince Honey Farm, and learn about the traditions of the apple harvest. There will be opportunities to get a little hands-on yourself too!
Harvesting of our heather honey will also be underway in the Honey Factory where you can watch as this delicious honey is extracted from our honeybee hives, learn about the process, and maybe try some straight from the hive!
Our Nectary Restaurant will be joining in the harvest celebrations by cooking and baking up some specials, featuring (of course) apples and honey!
On Sat 22nd and Weds 26th, our friends at the More Mead Company will be here selling and offering samples of their deliciously sweet mead, some of which is made using our own honey. Find them in The Nook between the shop and restaurant.
Halloween fancy dress competitions will be held daily in the Play Hive, along with seasonal themed colouring at the craft table. And on Sun 23rd and Fri 28th, Sparkle & Co face painters will be there to turn your little darlings into little monsters! (Charges apply for face painting paid directly to Sparkle & Co on the day.)
All this, PLUS the usual offer from a visit to Quince Honey Farm where you will learn about bees, honey and everything in between!
