2 Day Batik Workshop Taught by Jo Whiteland
About
2 day inspirational workshops based in the idyllic location of Moor and Sea Holidays on Exmoor, spend the weekend learning the ancient art of batik and create your own unique paintings. suitable for both beginners and those with some experience, there will an introductory talk on the Friday evening where Jo will discuss the history of batik and how she produces her paintings and a general introduction. On Saturday and Sunday you will be taken through the stages of creating a 2- 3 layer design with wax resist and silk paints before dipping in dye and creating your first of 2 or 3 paintings. All materials will be provided including frames.
