Tarka Trail Camping is a quiet, family owned and run, dog friendly campsite nestled on the beautiful Tarka Trail beside the River Taw Estuary, perfect for walking and cycling with miles of stunning country and estuary views.
Open from Easter until October, they have everything you need to enjoy calm and peaceful camping in Touring Caravans, Campervans, Motorhomes and Tents on large, level grassed pitches, and Electric Hook Up hard standing pitches.
The new heated amenity block has modern hot showers and toilets with separate disabled facilities and family bathroom. Baby changing table, free hairdryer, liquid hand soap and eco hand dryers are all available. As well as a dishwashing room with free hot water and free charging point for mobile phones and power banks etc.
Direct access from the camping field to the Tarka Trail allows you to explore the stunning coast and countryside of North Devon. Five miles from the historic town of Bideford and five miles from the ancient market town of Barnstaple with eateries and shops in Instow, Westleigh and Fremington within walking distance in between. Open during the evenings is the Yelland Manor Micro Brewery next door, serving ales and pizzas.

HEADING FROM M5 TOWARDS TIVERTON: Continue on the A361 North Devon Link road heading towards Barnstaple. At Poltmore roundabout take 1st exit on to the A39 towards Bideford. At Bishops Tawton roundabout take 2nd exit and continue on A39 towards Bideford. At next roundabout continue on A39 taking first exit towards Bideford. At Roundswell roundabout take 2nd exit and continue on A39 towards Bideford and Instow. On reaching Junction at Bideford Bridge turn right on to the B3233 Instow. Take 2nd exit on roundabout and head towards Instow. Continue on B3233 until you reach Lower Yelland Farm sign posted on your left. Turn left into Lower Yelland Farm and follow signs for camping.
FROM BUDE ON A39: Continue on A39 over Bideford Bridge. Take first exit on left after bridge onto the B3233 Instow. Take 2nd exit on roundabout and head towards Instow. Continue on B3233 until you reach Lower Yelland Farm sign posted on your left. Turn left into Lower Yelland Farm and follow signs for camping.
