Set in the beautiful scenery of North Devon, Marshford Camping and Caravanning site can be found on the Marshford farm nursery in a quiet and secluded spot less than a mile from the stunning coastlines that make this part of Devon so popular.

Being such a small site, this is the ultimate place to set up camp for those wanting a peaceful and tranquil break away from everyday life. Managed by the Camping and Caravanning Club, there is space for just five caravans and ten tents on any one night giving you the ultimate in privacy and quiet. Laid out over three tiers, with electric hook up available on all pitches, the Marshford Camping and Caravanning site accepts motorhomes, touring caravans and tents and also welcomes children and dogs, though dogs must be kept on a lead while outside your tent or motorhome.

Marshford Camping and Caravanning site can be found in one of the most picturesque parts of North Devon. Situated close to the twin estuary of the Taw and Torridge rivers, you are able to explore the wider area with ease, with the historic towns of Barnstaple and Bideford nearby as well as the delights of the Exmoor National Park, the fishing villages of Clovelly and Appledore and the National Trust managed Lundy Island which is accessible by ferry or helicopter, depending on the time of year.

North Devon is a haven for surfers and fans of watersports and being only a mile from the coast, this is the ideal spot for anyone wanting an adventure packed holiday. The fantastic sandy beach at Westward Ho! is close by and is perfect for families or those looking for thrills on the water. The conditions are perfect for surfing, windsurfing, paddle boarding, kiting and more and there are plenty of opportunities for exploring on foot with the South West Coast Path cutting through the area. The Tarka Trail cycle route can also be easily accessed from Marshford Camping and Caravanning site as can nearby golf courses, so there are plenty of things to see and do in the region.

The site has a range of facilities, including onsite toilets and showers and being on the Marshford Organic Food site, there is a well-stocked shop full of amazing, local produce. The shop is manned during daytime hours and carries a selection of vegetables, fruits, eggs and dairy produce, an instore bakery and a variety of chilled and frozen items, allowing for creating perfect family dinners together. Guests are also welcome to use the site’s WiFi.

Marshford Camping and Caravanning site is a certificated site that is privately managed but is looked after by the Camping and Caravanning Club. These sites are small and can be found in locations where larger commercial sites are prohibited, giving you easy access to beaches, hidden coves and the National Park. Being less than a mile from the coast and close to the Exmoor National Park, guests at Marshford Camping and Caravanning site offers both lovely sea views on the horizon, plus the delights of the countryside with wildlife, interesting plant life and the tranquillity that comes with it.
