Bring your family to our idyllic farm, nestled in 8 acres of gorgeous Devonshire countryside, where everything has been created for you and your family - from animal feeding to fantastic facilities, it's a holiday for you all.
Have fun and an onsite adventure, no matter what the weather.
We’ve packed Birchill Farm full of family fun; start your days with Farmer Carolyn at animal feeding (a firm favourite with kids and parents alike), outdoor play areas, take walks in the woods or join us for our famous pizza nights. And if the weather isn’t kind? Take to our indoor play areas that are full of more toys than you could shake a soggy Devonshire stick at!
Animal Feed
Help our farmers feed all the animals and fill up the water troughs. You’ll meet our cheeky little goats, three alpacas, two miniature Mediterranean donkeys, our mini pigs, and bunnies.
Play Areas
There is a variety of outdoor play equipment for toddlers and older children to enjoy, including swings, slides, climbing frames and areas for imaginative play.
Our two-storey indoor Play Barn has a soft play area upstairs for babies, toddlers and children aged 0 to 3 years. Downstairs is set up for imaginative play with a shop to serve pizzas or ice-creams, dressing up costumes, and more.
Our indoor Tractor Play Barn has selection of ride-on tractors and cars, a playhouse, sand and water play tables arts and crafts, and more. Slightly older children (5-8) can enjoy our play den where there’s table football, a pool table and toys.
Our Cottages
We know how stressful going on holiday with babies and toddlers can be, so we designed and equipped our cottages to make your family holiday as relaxing as possible. All cottages have their own private gardens and have been finished to a high standard with all the comforts of home. Each cottage has a selection of books, toys and games and we also have a selection of baby and toddler equipment for you to borrow free of charge - just let us know what you need.
Our holiday cottages are 5 Star Gold or 4 Star Gold rated.
Great Location
We are ideally positioned for access to all of North Devon’s attractions. There is so much to do in the local area, you’ll be spoilt for choice. From walking along North Devon’s dramatic coastline to feasting on fresh, local produce or wondering at the rugged beauty of Exmoor to name but a few.
If its beaches you want, Westward Ho! Beach is just 11 miles away and there are a further 14 beaches to visit – all no more than 30 miles away from Birchill Farm. There is an abundance of picturesque seaside villages to explore and miles of golden beaches to build sandcastles on.
