Ultimate Adventure at Inspiring Learning North Devon offers the most comprehensive range of outdoor activities available in North Devon, with an Ultimate twist.
Offering a variety of activities, the centre lets you discover adventures you love through our popular Ultimate Day Out (packaged activity day) and our all new stand-alone activity sessions. The most popular activities on our site include; The Ultimate Assault course, The Aerial Adventure, Coasteering, Mountain Boarding, Kayaking, Archery, and Stand Up Paddleboarding.
The Ultimate “Wipeout” Assault Course
The Ultimate Assault, formerly known as the Ultimate Wipe out course, situated in Bideford, North Devon is designed with a range of action packed water and land based obstacles to challenge and test all ages and abilities. Take the plunge and ride the water slides, take on the big balls and scale the scramble nets......an action packed adventure experience not to be missed.
Aerial Adventures
The Aerial Adventure provides a safe, enjoyable aerial trekking experience for ages 5+. Situated at 35 ft, 2 courses are available to test your nerve and head for heights totalling 200 meters of aerial excitement incorporating 28 element challenges. The classic Aerial Adventure combines high ropes; climbing; Jacobs Ladder & Bag Jump! Challenge yourself 11m from the ground - take the leap and scale the wall; it’s an activity to remember! Our newly built course is one of the largest of its kind in the UK, using the most up-to-date safety systems.
Coasteering - Croyde
Ultimate Adventure is the premier Coasteering provider in North Devon. Treat yourself with an adrenaline packed Coasteering trip which includes progressive jumps, sea caves, and turbulent swims; guaranteed to get the heart pumping.
Kayaking & SUP
Enjoy yourself with a Kayaking/SUP trip along our on-site Adventure lake or test your nerve with a surf/paddle. The Adventure Lake is a new addition to the Centre and has already proved to be the perfect place to develop your kayaking and Stand up Paddle-Boarding skills.
Archery
Add another string to your bow with archery in North Devon. Get expert tuition from our instructors to learn all the tips and tricks in the safety of our rifle shooting range. We'll get you hitting that bulls-eye in no time!
Mountain Boarding
Combine or showcase your surf / snowboard and biking skills on a Mountain Board! It’s all about control and balance! Previously the site for the Mountain Board World Championship, UAC offers the perfect location to learn the base skills in controlling and turning a Mountain Board.

Snacks, drinks and hot food can be purchased from our ultimate café or from our on-site shop.

How to find Us
The Centre is located in the village of Abbotsham, just outside of Bideford. Follow the brown tourist signs, which can be found on entry roads in and around Bideford.
The recommended route is via the A39 Atlantic Highway, we are two miles west of the Bideford bridge.

Travelling by Bus:
The only bus which drives past the BIG Sheep is the 319 stagecoach bus from Barnstaple town centre to Hartland and vice versa. The nearest bus stop is outside the church in Abbotsham, the small village where we are based. From the bus stop the Centre is a 5-minute walk away.
