You will find us at the end of our half mile private lane, surrounded by fields of rolling North Devon countryside with stunning views over the unspoilt, hidden and peaceful Jennetts valley that many of our village neighbours haven’t even seen! You would never guess that Bideford town is only three miles or Westward Ho! blue flag beach only four miles away.
Choose from six lovingly converted cottages which are former farm barns and can sleep either four or six with cot space. Each has original features such as exposed stone walls, roof trusses and beams; its own enclosed garden perfect for a barbeque and a well equipped kitchen. All cottages are baby and toddler friendly with black-out blinds, plug covers, stair gates and toddler crockery. Save space in your car and ask us for cot, highchair or bed-guard. Bathrooms all have a shower over the bath. Bed linen and cottage towels are included but please bring your own swimming towels. The high quality award winning four star cottages are set around a cobbled courtyard with large security lit car park at the entrance. Whilst we have many superb local food producers, farm shops and delicatessens close by to buy delicious North Devon food from; you might like to order up bulkier items with a supermarket delivery timed to follow your arrival.
With wildflower filled hedgerows, bluebell and wild garlic woods, uplifting birdsong, wide open kite-flying spaces and dark skies above, a stream to paddle in and dens to be constructed in the wood, grass banks to roll down, we have something outdoors for all the family - dogs included. Swim in our 28deg indoor pool; grab a book and relax on the sun deck taking in views of Exmoor; explore 14 acres of pasture and woodland; let the kids play outdoors (football goal, climbing frame + slide).
Robin Hill Farm is a dog’s paradise. There are eight acres of pasture to bound around and a few pheasants to sniff out from the hedgerows. Our three dog friendly cottages have laminated living space floors, you will find a dog towel and plenty of outside taps for a hose down of muddy paws and we have dog crates available on request for when you would like to take a family swim. North Devon is a very dog friendly area, most local, independent, cafes welcome dogs, there is access to all areas of our local beaches in the winter months with some partial restrictions during summer, many attractions welcome dogs too such as Clovelly, Hartland Abbey, Milky Way, Gnome Reserve, Arlington Court, Marwood Hill Gardens.
The shared laundry room has a washing machine, tumble dryer and freezer (with a drawer for each cottage). We will have sent out a pre-arrival email with plenty of local information. Just ask, we have lots of favourite places to tell you about. Like cycling? The Tarka Trail long distance cycle route is three miles away. If you fancy an hour or three of fishing, choose Jennetts Reservoir, in the valley below us, it is a very peaceful carp lake.
You are welcome for short breaks, weekends, mid-week breaks, and longer weekly or fortnightly holidays too. Minimum stay is 3 nights and outside of school holidays we offer flexible arrival days.
Call Andrew/Jane today to chat through options for you. We look forward to welcoming you to take time out to relax and revitalise in North Devon.
