About

As a proud Devonian, I set up Blackstone Photo in 2014, to capture and celebrate everything that makes Devon such a special place.

I am a landscape photographer and my focus is on Dartmoor and the South Devon Coast which I capture throughout the seasons. My work records the changing colours and moods of the county, ranging from the wide sweeping vistas of the moor to more intimate portraits of the animals and characters who make up the rich tapestry of west country life.

I am passionate about using my photography to promote Devon’s beauty and heritage, and I have a particular interest in photographing the Dartmoor Pony. This native breed has lived on the moor since prehistoric times and is a familiar sight to us all, yet now its numbers are in decline, with the pedigree Dartmoor Pony now registered as endangered on the Rare Breeds Survival Trust list. I am trying to raise awareness for the importance of this wonderful animal through my work. 

I sell a range of prints and cards on my website and take personal or business commissions if there is any particular aspect of Devon you would like me to capture for your use.
